I don’t need you anymore, cos the
xPoint now has default CMS e-mails templates, go and edit them yourself under
e-mail setting mail templates. So Far the is Account Creation, Reset Password,
and Error On Site. Use the Default Sender option to decide where your e-mails
are being sent from!
E-com templates are on there way so
watch out for them!

The xPoint works in real time, (connecting
directly to your ERP), yes people—no batching! Even with B2C. This means if
more then one customer wants your last item only one gets it! And even more
important the customer who doesn’t get it, doesn’t think he has got it!

E-com Caching...
We have made significant
improvements to the xPoint e-com caching, so the loading time for pages is
considerable reduced, in some cases down to 1/5 of the time! The best thing
about it however is that this is true no matter what backend system you are
using!

Security, Security, Security... xConsole
The xPoint security feature has now been integrated with the xConsole, this mean you are able to structure and control the security of your entire site just by using the xConsole!
And did you know...
The security settings allow you to have different people working on different parts of the site, or a sub site, at the same time. So you can have your site in English, and allow a group of users to work on it in Greek without having to worry about accidently creating a new language!
Back Me Up Please!
The xPoint backup feature has been upgraded, the content of your site is now automatically being backed up as soon as you initiate an update, the back up is done just before the update is carried out!
Access Denied!
Just a little reminder to people like myself! It is impossible to lock yourself out of your site, no matter how hard you try! That’s right, no matter what you do the admin will always have access to the site and the admin/editing features!
Find, Fix, Forget!
Our Solutions Centre has been upgraded! When you encounter an error the Solutions Centre will tell you what it is and what you can do about it! With the help of our error reporting system we have collected and systemized errors and now have 31 possible solutions. In the solutions centre you will find you errors listed, you will also find a symbol telling you how critical the error is, and what you can do. It might be as simple as a time out, and a message telling you, that you should refresh the page. It will also tell you if certain small error persist and you need to contact us!
There are options available giving you a chance to decide what to do with error, for example, fix, and remove, we recommend that you remove errors once a month as this will increase the performance of your system.
This feature has also been integrated with our error reporting system, i.e. when you get an error message you will also see the possible solutions, without having to visit the Solutions Centre! We strongly urge you to continue reporting errors to us so that we can expand and improve this service!
Safe As Houses
Our security system now has an emergency state feature. Should your SQL database be compromised or deleted, by accident or design the system automatically reverts to an emergency state. This means that although your application will not run normally it will run! Giving you time to fix it, which can be done from the web! It also makes updating much safer. In short your xPoint will never be down!
x-Console
The x-console is up and running! When logged in as admin just press ‘CTRL+.’ and the console will appear, ready to use — so get scripting!
We are still working on making a collection of scripts available for you, so keep your eyes peeled!
And don’t forget to keep your xPoint solution updated, we recommend you do this every two weeks. To update your solution go your Template Manager, Packages, and at the bottom of the page click update now.
Item selection + Search
We have implemented a category based search on the search component.
You can specify categories so a customer can, more effectively, pinpoint the search results.
The images can be removed from search.
You can also now search implements extensions, so you add buy buttons or other info about the product.
You may remove excess links from search by editing the search results content type.
You can narrow results only on items with existing inventory, under “Items/Search” settings
Quick-order
We have provided an extension that can be attached to the search page (named “Quick Buy Small Button (AJAX)”). It uses AJAX to add to cart, this means that as soon as you add a quantity, the items are automatically placed in your shopping cart.
Available stock-quantity
You can define the behavior under the setting “Item/Inventory”
Additional Inventory Features
You can allow customers to see the stock quantity for each item
You can set a maximum limit on the stock quantity for each item, (i.e. ‘8’ = 8 items in stock, ‘<8’ = more then 8 items in stock)
Your e-shop automatically detects wether a customer B2B or B2C. If the customer is B2B, prices will automatically be shown without VAT
Working with Item pages
You can now remove the item page from the system. The e-commerce automatically removes all links if the item page is not there.
